We have been told that Australians no longer want the #Commodore , but this is absolute nonsense. Mr Politician , open your eyes when you get out of the #CanberraCocoon and count the number of Commodores out the window of your chauffeur driven luxury German vehicle, and now tell us we don't prefer large Australian made passenger vehicles . #Holden is testing the Market to see if we really want the Commodore to continue after 2017 .
Are you going to able to fit your young family , with all their sports luggage in a smaller Car ?
We don't all want SUV's in the Cities, as they are not suited to inner city parking, and they use a lot of fuel in stalled traffic.

The argument that Australian Car Manufacturers are not producing cars that Australians want to buy is completely ridiculous in the extreme.
The Ford Territory and Falcon , and the Holden Commodore are some of Australia's most popular cars.
I tried to sit in one of the small cars owned by my family from an overseas manufacturer recently , and because a baby seat was positioned behind my seat, I could not fit in the front seat as there was not enough room for my dangly grandpa legs.What do you think ?

We produce excellent cars in Australia which are suited to our roads and countryside .
We have had Ford Territory's as our family car for over a decade . As grandparents we need plenty of room to carry grandchildren , plus prams , plus dogs ,plus everything else . It is nearly half the price of the equivalent Japanese vehicle and quarter the price of equivalent German vehicles which have far less room.
How can we compete fairly against overseas cheap labour costs ? The politicians will now blame Ford for the closure , when the real reason is the removal of tariff protection . Every other country in the world has the common sense to protect their own Car Industry , except the Anzacs !!
What can we do to Save Ford and Holden ?
