Does Holden produce Cars that we want to Buy ? The argument that Holden does not produce Cars that Australians want to Buy is one of the most absurd by the Economic Advisers. The Advisers need to open their eyes and look out the windows of their BMW's on the way to work. They should count the number of Commodores on the road. Commodore Sales have dropped recently because Households are feeling the pinch of a very tough Economy. The new Car purchase has simply been delayed until things get better. Once things pickup again Australians will be back purchasing one of their all time favourite Cars, the Commodore. The Commodore is popular because it suits the needs of Australian families. If you have a growing family you cannot fit baby capsules, child seats and prams in a tiny imported Car. Recently I tried to sit in the front passenger seat of a tiny imported Car, that had a baby capsule behind it on the back seat. This pushed my passenger seat so far forward I could not fit my legs in the front of the passenger seat. If this had been a Commodore there would have been plenty of room plus more. Ok, the Commodore may not suit the needs of all young females, but Holden is now producing the outstanding Cruze which is a brilliant Car. It is time we started questioning the motives of silly Economic Advisers who push the nonsense line " Australians don't want to buy Holdens ".
