The argument that the cost of Australia's 'high wages' makes Car Manufacturing in Australia unsustainable is made ludicrous by example of the German Car Manufacturing Industry. Germany pays their Car Workers double the Wages of US Car Workers ! The reason they can do this is because the German Government creates Cash-back and Tax-break incentives for the local population to buy their own Cars. The less Government interference, the more Business can get on with the job. GM Detroit have not said that they will end the #Holden Brand , they have said that they will stop Manufacturing in Australia . As long as the Holden Brand remains alive there is still hope that GM Detroit will reverse it's decision to stop Manufacturing here . GM Detroit is a Business , and it needs to make a Profit in Australia . It has been prevented from making a profit in Australia by our Federal Government's economic penalties unfairly placed upon our Car Manufacturing Industry . What do you think ?
