    2014 Recap
    2014 Recap – September
    ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

September was my last month in beautiful Australia after a whole year spent with the kangaroos. In the middle of my East coast road trip with my travel mates, we started September in the Whitsunday Islands. Such a beautiful place over there. I spent a whole week, exploring the islands flying, snorkeling, hiking, cruising, camping. That was one of my best week in Aussie.

The photo I selected for that month has been taken on the Solway Lass sailboat. I spent 3 days and 3 nights on it, cruising the Whitsundays, doing stops on Whitsunday Island and Whitehaven Beach, South Molle Island, Black Island, and scuba diving on the reef. I fell like being a pirate for 3 days :) Unforgettable !

Here are some other highlights of September 2014:
    - Spending a couple of hours on one of the world’s most beautiful beach: Whitehaven Beach
    - Snorkeling the outer Great Barrier Reef after we landed near a pontoon in the middle of the Coral Sea with a seaplane.
    - Flying over the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef by seaplane, and see the beautiful Heart Reef
    - Camping on a deserted island in the Whitsundays
    - Going on a humpback whale watch tour in Hervey Bay and see my first whales ever !
    - Discovering during 2 days the world’s largest sand island: Fraser Island
    - Enjoying the sunrise and sunset from Rainbow Beach’s Carlo Sandblow dunes.
    - Having one of the best day of my life in Lady Elliot Island, spotting manta rays and swimming with green sea turtles
    - Going back to the Blue Mountains for a couple of days and enjoying out of this world sunsets and sunrises !
    - Spending my last week in Sydney, one of my favorite city so far, and climbing by night the Harbor Bridge — with Johan Lolos at The Whitsundays.

Apart from the fact that I’m now working more than ever with the tourism industry, 2014 has its share of surprises and unusual aventures !
