The facts are that Holden has received a paltry average of $150 million per year support from our Federal Government since 2001. But here is the reality that we are not being told, the vast majority of this money ie $120million, is immediately returned to the Government through the Income Tax paid by #Holden employees. This clearly shows that the extreme Right wing policies of the current Economic Rationalists are complete #Nonsense !
So the real cost to our Government is just $30milion per year .
It is going to cost our Government over $500million to sort out the current mess over the next 5 years .

Why should we fight to Save Holden ? To say that the Supercars that are used in the Australian V8 Racing Cars have nothing to do with the Production Cars is complete nonsense . Yes all the brands use High Tech Engines, which are not currently used in Production Vehicles . But the Car Racing arena is where the new Technologies for the next models are used and tested . The V8 Car Races are where Holden and Ford and Mercedes and Nissan develop their future top performance Vehicles . Save Holden Can we imagine a situation where the head of the #AFL were to say to the Adelaide Football Club that you have been performing badly, you have been wasting the Football Public's money, therefore we are not going to continue to support you ? This would never happen in any of our National Football Codes, yet we are allowing our Federal Politicians in the #CanberraCocoon, to get away with this #SCANDAL .
